The DMV Perinatal Mental Health Symposium is for Washington, DC area clinicians and allied health professionals - anyone who works with pregnant or postpartum women. The symposium will be a chance to discuss issues unique to our region, to share resources and information, and to improve how we help new families. Cost: 50

Plenary Speaker
Sayida Peprah, Psy.D, CD(DONA) is a Clinical Psychologist and Birth Doula. Dr. Peprah specializes in multicultural psychology, trauma, suicide prevention and maternal mental health. She offered a keynote address at the 2018 Postpartum Support International (PSI) Conference among other presentations on this topic around the country.

- Aimee Danielson, PhD, Founder & Director of the MedStar Georgetown Women's Mental Health Program, clinical psychologist at Georgetown University Hospital specializing in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders
- Melissa Fries, MD, Chairman of OB/Gyn at MedStar Washington Hospital who has worked on integrating perinatal mental health at Washington Hospital Center
- Lisa Catapano, MD, Psychiatrist and Associate Professor at George Washington Department of Psychiatry, Director of the Five Trimesters Clinic, specializing in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders
- Lee A. Savio Beers, MD, Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Goldberg Center for Community Pediatric Health, Medical Director for Municipal and Regional Affairs, Child Health Advocacy Institute, Children's National Health System
- Samantha Griffin, Owner of DC Metro Maternity offering birth and postpartum doula services
